HENDERSON, Nev. – Nevada State University Head Track & Field and Cross Country Coach Roy Session has announced the 2026 schedules for the Scorpions' inaugural women's and men's cross country season.
The 2026 season marks three significant milestones for Nevada State Athletics. The Scorpions will field the university's first varsity cross country teams while beginning competition in the NAIA and as part of the Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC). The schedule features a competitive slate of meets throughout the fall, highlighted by the Duel in the Desert on September 25, which Nevada State will co-host with the College of Southern Nevada.
"Our first cross country season is an exciting milestone for Nevada State Athletics," said Session. "This schedule gives our student-athletes the opportunity to compete against quality programs, gain valuable experience, and begin building the tradition we envision for Scorpions Cross Country. We're excited to represent Nevada State in our inaugural season and begin building something special at the university."
